Mommy's first day back at work

Well I went back to work this week. It was okay, I only cried a little on the way there. The girls had a great day with Grandma Linda, in fact they've been having a great week with her. She arrived Saturday and is staying until this Saturday to stay with the girls during the day while Andy and I are at work. Then this Sunday Granny Sue is coming to stay with us for the week to have her turn taking care of the girls while we're working. So the girls don't really go to daycare until the first full week in February, that's the week that I'll probably be a mess. Anyway here's a few more photos!

Our First Professional Photos

We attempted to get family photos with all 5 of us last weekend, unfortunately my children had different ideas for this. We got through the family photo all right, however, that was about it. By the time we did the shots of the 3 kids together Jet was finished with sitting still, then when it was the girls's turn for their shots they were hungry again even though we had just fed them before we got there. Oh well.

Later that night I took some of my own pictures of them when they were all calm and happy.

Girls meet Great Grandpa Pete

My Granpa Pete came to Kansas again this year to watch some ESU basketball and visit the family. This was his first introduction with the girls. Here are just a few of the family pics we took during the visit. Enjoy--

Boy Bonding

Andy and Jet have been practicing their bonding skills now that they are outnumbered in the family. They're working on this for the later years when the hormones will be raging. They've been doing things like shooting cans, having silly string fights and just general plotting against Mommy! Even the dog got in on the fun.

Sisters

Just thought I'd add some new photos of the girls spending time together. They're really getting big now! They stay awake lots during the day to play with Mommy. This has really helped things at night, as they are sleeping very well only getting up once or twice at most. We're very thankful for this since I will be heading back to work soon and the extra sleep at night will surely help since I won't be napping during the day any longer. I'm not excited to go back to work at all, sure it will be nice to see other adults everyday and get dressed in more then sweats and stuff like that, but I have to admit that it has been very nice being at home with the girls. Oh well, back to reality. If anyone has suggestions on how to make leaving them easier I'm sure open to them!

Getting Big

The girls had their one month doctors visit last week (Mommy's been sick so this is a little late) anyway, they're doing great! Getting big and working on getting into a routine as mommy has to go back to work at the end of this month :( Anyway, Harleigh is now 8lbs 4.8oz and is 20.5 inches long. Rogue is exactly 7lbs and is 21" long. They are both doing very well with eating and sleeping, now that they're a little bigger they are sleeping longer through the night, Harleigh only getting up once to eat, Rogue still twice, but she's still got a little catching up to do. Jet is also getting big, he's 34lbs now and very tall! He's getting more used to the girls, it probably also helps that they are bigger and awake to play with now in the evening and not eating quite so often so Mommy and Daddy have more time to be with him. Anyway, just wanted to update everyone. Great Grandpa Pete is coming up from Florida and we're going to spend the weekend with him at Granny and Pops house! The girls are also going to attend their first ESU basketball game!

Christmas at the Toepfer's

We had our Christmas in Illinois over the New Year's Weekend with Grandma Linda, Aunt Betsy, Schy, and Henry, Uncle Paul and Maggie and Ma Mommie and Da Daddie even came from Ohio. Everyone had a great time, the girls met everyone and Jet got to spend lots of time with his cousins. We didn't do much exciting just hanging out and relaxing, but it was a good time for all. This was the first time Mommy's been to Grandma Linda's house this year because she couldn't travel while she was pregnant with the girls.
