Harleigh's New Trick!

Harleigh went to play at Aunt Betsy's house the other night.....
Guess what she learned!
I'm not sure about this...
Oh, yeah, I'm so good!
And mommy is not ready for this! Walking? Oh great!

9 months!

The girls are finally 9 months old! Can you beleive time has passed so quickly???
Anyway, Harleigh is now 17lbs 70z and 28 1/4" long and Rogue is 16lbs 4oz and 28 1/8" long. Harleigh now has 6 teeth and Rogue has 2. They both crawl everywhere, and can pull themselves up to stand and walk along the furniture. They eat mostly only big people foods and the doctor gave the okay to start drinking real milk also, not all the time, but at least half of what they would get during the day. Other than that they're just playing and getting big.

Well, my parents have been married for 25 years today! With the help of some great family and friends my brother and I threw them a suprise party Saturday afternoon! Suprise Granny and Pops! Sorry we didn't give you advanced warning, but then it wouldn't have been a suprise.
here's my mom with Harleigh and her maid of honor Doris
This is Doris's twin daughters Rachel and Mariah with Rogue and Harleigh
Uncle Jesse and Jet help decorate
Mmmm, don't you just love wedding cake! (Uncle Jesse picked it out all by himself)
It was a great day! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us with the planning and execution of the party! And congrats granny and pops, we hope you have many more happy years together!

Wordless Thursday (it's been a busy week!)

Mommy's little Albert

Okay, I admit they might not be the best close up photos, but the hair is all I'm talking about in these shots anyway. My poor Rogue, take a close look at her hair, who does she remind you of???
Why Albert Einstein of course. Just look at all that sticking out craziness! No matter what mommy does to it, as soon as it's dry again it sticks out everywhere! Sorry Rogue! I guess one of the three had to be a science dork like mommy :)

Fashion Show

As promised, here are the fashion show photos!
The shops at the legends had really great back to school sales and it just happened that mommy had extra percentage off coupons also, so we got great, cute, sturdy clothes for really cheap! Here's Jet's first outfit. He picked out the jean all by himself and him and daddy picked out the shirt. Can you guess what size they are? Okay, I'll tell you, the jeans are a 4T yes that's what I said, a 4T. He is small enough around the waist to wear a 2 still, but for his long legs he needs a 4 or his poor little ankles will get chilly this winter! And the shirt is a 5T. yeah a 5. He has the same build as his daddy and has a really long upper half and with the 4T when he put his arms up his belly stuck out. So that's it, 4T in pants (but they must have an adjustable waist or belt or be sweats) and a 5 in shirts. I think that equates to a real boy size xs or 4/5, but I haven't checked. I'm not ready to admit he's that big yet.
Here he's posing with his second outfit. Daddy picked this out also. He also got another outfit similar to the first one and a hoodie.
Here's Rogue in the girls first outfit. How pretty is she going to be this fall. This is a 9 months outfit, which will fit Rogue for a while, but the way Harleigh's going she won't be able to wear it for long once it finally gets cold out.
Here's Harleigh in the girls second outfit. This one is 12 months size. She looks good. I think she's frowning because we took her out of her pretty dress to put her in this one.
And here's the girls in their pretty dresses. Daddy picked out both of them. Don't worry they're for winter, he got them sweaters and tights to go with them so they can wear them when it's cold out. Daddy also got them a cute shirt and pair of sweats to go with it and a pair of pjs. Mommy got to pick out the two outfits in the photos, but that's all. She did really good. And besides daddy was having a good time picking stuff out, and I know to take advantage of it, because usually he could care less!

Anyway, hope you all enjoyed a preview at our new fall fashions.

Crackers

Recently the kids enjoyed some crackers at a restraunt while we were waiting for our lunch to arrive.

We ran out to do a little shopping as everyone was having huge sales on back to school clothes and I had coupons! Fashion show photos will follow soon.

Harleigh's a Walker!

Well it's finally happened, my sweet, pretty little girl is a walker. Who, me Momma, what are you talking about?
Oh, you mean my new skills..
I'm not your sweet little baby anymore, I'm a big girl now!

Okay, so she's not walking independently yet, but she can get from the far end of the living room to the kitchen on the other side of the house just holding on to whatever she can. This makes me sad, happy because she's growing and becoming independent and sad at the same time for the same reasons because she's not my little baby anymore!

Wordless Wednesday Again!

Sisters go to the fair too

The girls went to the fair also... They were fascinated with all the lights and sounds....
They even got to ride the carousel... Harleigh just wanted to touch the lights
And Rogue wasn't sure about the horse, but they both liked the music...

They even conned Uncle Jesse and Aunt Rel out of a little of their funnel cake! That was the end of their night. They didn't get to see the monster trucks with the boys. Maybe next year sisters!

More Fun at Granny and Pops!

The boys didn't just go to the Monster Trucks this weekend, they were also very busy at my parents house...

They went on a four wheeler ride

They had sword fights

They played some playdoh

and some hungry hungry hippos

And of course they went swimming.

In the beginning of the trip Ty said he wanted to go home and sleep at his house, but by the middle he didn't want to go home, he said he was just going to stay at Granny and Pops house, his mom and dad wouldn't miss him!

They had a great time!
Thanks Granny and Pops!

Monster Trucks Mud a Thon!

This weekend we took Jet and his best friend Ty to the fair, mainly to see the Monster Truck mud a thon! The boys are big into monster trucks now, and the mud a thon was great for them! They had a great time walking around looking at all the rides at the midway, they went on the elephants, cars, motorbikes, carousel and the big slide (with Uncle Jesse and Aunt Rel). We played a couple of games, but the biggest hit was watching the trucks trying to get through the mud pit. I mean, come on, what better fun for 2 little boys! After all the excitement we spent the night at Granny and Pops's house before heading back home.
