Illinois Visit
We spent the last of 2008 in Illinois visiting Andy's family (Grandma Linda and Aunt Betsy, Schy and Henry, and Uncle Paul came in from DC with Maggie). It was a long trip for us this time, almost a whole week. It enabled us to relax a little before the long drive back home. We didn't do anything exciting really. All the cousins got to play with each other. The girls go to meet everyone again. They liked Aunt Betsy right away and then Uncle Paul, but it wasn't until the night before we left that Rogue would let Grandma Linda hold her. The weather was decent so we went to the park a couple times to let everyone get out some energy. And Andy and I even got to spend a couple hours out without the kids. Granted we were grocery shopping, but you take what you can get. For New Years we just hung out at Grandma's house and played the Wii and had Margarita's Betsy made us. Very relaxing and safe. Here are a few photos of our time there.

enjoying some nice weather
We finally got some nice weather after all the freezing stuff we've had lately, so of course we took th opportunity to run off some energy outside!
Rogue swings (look at her knees, she loves to get dirty, I swear she's a tomboy already)
Harleigh Swings (notice her dirt too!)

After all this we had a very relaxing rest of the weekend, just playing and sleeping and enjoying time with family. Andy and I even got to see a few friends that we hardly ever get to because of being so far away. It was really nice. Then we headed home to get ready to make the trip to Illinois for our final Christmas.

Christmas Morning!
This year we picked up my niece Talita from the airport on Christmas Eve and spent the evening at our house with a friend that Andy works with, enjoying a nice dinner. Then magically in the night Santa came. Here are a few photos of the kids the next morning....
